Closing Thoughts
- You must learn to take care of yourself WELL, before you can successfully take care of a family.
- By distinguishing between needs and wants, and having a basic understanding of financial management, positive relationship skills and a healthy work life, you will be on the right track for successful independence.
- As you get older, and possibly consider having a family of your own, you need revaluate your priorities accordingly to ensure everyone in the homes needs are being met.
- When you're in a domestic partnership, you always need to consider the other person in your decisions, as you will quickly realize that your actions have an impact on others besides yourself.
- Consequences of not having your "life" together could lead to poor credit, bad debt and the breakdown of personal relationships due to the stress caused by selfish and/or careless lifestyle choices.
